Join us for a lunchtime seminar with John Walsh – Director Communications & Channels at the Ministry for Primary Industries.
John will share with us the technique his team uses to develop effective messaging.
It’s called ‘MessageHouse’. It’s a way of structuring key messages for any audience so they are easy to deliver, simple to understand and as compelling as possible.
John’s team of communication managers cover economic development and trade, biosecurity, animal welfare, forestry, fisheries and food safety. It’s a diverse portfolio and the communication challenges are often complex and sensitive. ‘MessageHouse’ helps the communications team and internal stakeholders to be on the same page quickly and effectively.
John has been leading the MPI team, including web services, design and publications, social marketing and social media, for almost three years. Prior to that he was General Manager of a leading PR consultancy for 13 years and Communications Director for the NZ Apple & Pear Marketing Board.
