Communications Function Review

In late 2008 and early 2009, a working group of public sector communications managers reviewed the public sector communications functions and made a series of recommendations to more clearly define the function, improve leadership and understanding, and develop common competencies and supporting tools.

In 2009, State Services Commissioner Iain Rennie sponsored the second stage of the review, which progressed the recommendations of the first working group.
